* Postcards from Mukden, Manchuria

For more information on the Mukden Prisoner of War Camp, please go to  www.mukdenpows.org/    You may need to cut and paste the link rather than clicking on it.  The last that I knew, Ao and Pat Wang’s daughter, Barbara was maintaining. I am deeply grateful for all of their hard work. Stay tuned for more resources, as recording history is always a work in progress.

    Pat and Ao Wang are a gracious and fine couple. That is my impression from meeting them at the Mukden reunion in El Paso, TX 2015. They are a hard-working and dedicated couple who have put a ton of work in on the Mukden POW Remembrance Society (MPOWRS) and should be highly congratulated and esteemed for their contributions to the historical record and making return trips to Mukden possible for our ex-POWs who might experience closure from all those intervening years of PTSD and other serious residual effects of their incarcerations so many years ago. My thoughts and prayers go out to Pat and Ao as they confront their own health issues as they age. They now are seeking help in maintaining the services and very existence of MPOWRS. I hope someone who is able will come forward and get involved. Maybe we should just accept and get over the fact that there is little capability within our MPOWRS community and most certainly little to no interest from outside. It’s a sad and unfortunate state of affairs at present.
